Principal Chair by Karakter was designed in 1961 by Bodil Kjær, a pioneer of Scandinavian design. Principal chair project is part of a research for interior solutions for modern life that takes the name of Elements of Architecture.

Part of the collection of the same name, the upholstered dining chair embodies Kjær's cosmopolitan vision and the language of modernist design that adapts to contemporary interiors.

Principal Chair is characterized by the circular seat and by the rounded and padded backrest that adds softness to the clear and no-frills geometry.
